Jerry Allen: Jerry's Music

Don't Be So Sure

(Jerry Allen)

words & music by Jerry Allen
This was my crowing achievement on "Secret Rhythm" because of all the intricate patterns and programming in my keyboard I did in order to come up with a dance beat. I'm really proud of the rhythm track in this one and think this song is probably the best produced on the CD.

This song is about a person finally realizing that the one they are with is not exactly who they thought he/she was...sort of like seeing the light, if you know what I mean lol
Verse One:
I fell for you
Believed in You
I thought your love was true
I was a fool
You took advantage of me
The mouse plays when the cat's out
So sure in your hyprocrisy
You never thought I'd find out

Don't Be So Sure I wil stay around
Don't Be So Sure of this love you have found
You can be Sure I won't be treated this way
So Don't Be So Sure
Don't Be So Sure I willl stay

Verse two:
You cheated me
Mistreated me
I thought you needed you me
I couldn't see
You said that I was the one
That I should trust you deeply
You wanted me and you wanted your fun
But you can't have your cake and eat
Repeat Chorus:
Bridge: (break it down)
You think the grass is greener
On the other side
You think you've got the wool pulled
Over my blind eyes
You think that I will be here waiting
When you decide to walk thru that door
You think that I need you
You think I'm weak
Don't Be So Sure...
Repeat Chorus
